Australian Open Free For All - James Blake Loses to Tzonga And Verdasco Takes Out Andy Murray

And the American men are down to one... Last year's surprise runner-up Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beat American James Blake in straight sets, leaving only Andy Roddick as the lone American man left at the 2009 Australian Open. From LATimes.com: "There was nothing James Blake could do better than Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on Monday night at the Australian Open.

Blake, seeded ninth, couldn't hit better serves, backhands or forehands. He couldn't move better; he couldn't be more extravagant in his emotions; and ultimately, Blake couldn't make a dent in this fourth-round match that Tsonga won casually, 6-4, 6-4, 7-6 (3)."

In another stunning upset, Fernando Verdasco upset Andy Murray 2-6 6-1 1-6 6-3 6-4 to set up a quarterfinal match against Tzonga.

Roddick plays third-seeded Novak Djokovic on Tuesday afternoon. Could this be Roddick's year? We shall see...
