George Anthony, Caylee Anthony's Grandfather, Went Missing But Now Is Found And In Custody

It seems that the Caylee Anthony saga will never end. Her grandfather, George Anthony, who steadfastly defended his daughter, Casey Anthony, went missing yesterday, but he was later found in a hotel in Daytona Beach. Here's the scoop from

"The grandfather of slain Florida toddler Caylee Anthony was taken into custody early Friday after being reported missing late Thursday, sheriff's deputies and a family attorney said.

Detectives found George Anthony at the Hawaiian Inn Hotel in Daytona Beach at 2:30 a.m. ET Friday, said Jeff Williamson, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's department.

Brad Conway, the Anthonys' attorney, told CNN affiliate WFTV that Anthony was taken into custody under Florida's Baker Act, which allows the state to hold people involuntarily pending a psychiatric evaluation.

Anthony has been embroiled in a crime saga involving his daughter, Casey Anthony, and his 2-year-old granddaughter Caylee.

Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with killing Caylee, who was last seen in June. She was arrested in October and charged with first-degree murder and other offenses, despite the fact that her body had not been found at the time.

For months, George Anthony, along with his wife, Cindy, had publicly defended his daughter stating that she had nothing to with his granddaughter's disappearance."
