PHOTO: Tania Zaetta - Actress Accused of Having Sex With Soldiers on Base Gets Apology

For Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta, an apology was long-overdue... Here's the scoop from FoxNews.com:

"Australia's military chief personally apologized to a London-based entertainer for falsely accusing her of having sex with elite special forces soldiers while on a concert tour at a military base in Afghanistan, AFP reported.

Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston met with Tania Zaetta and her family Tuesday to apologize for naming her in the baseless defense briefing note, which was leaked to the press and landed the 38-year-old on the cover of many tabloids.

"There was no substance to the allegations," Houston said in a statement. "Ms. Zaetta gave her time and her talent to entertain our forces serving in Afghanistan and she deserves our praise and our thanks. I have also made clear to Ms Zaetta that she is welcome to again join a Forces Entertainment Tour in the near future."

Late last year Australia's defense department and Zaetta reached an agreement to compensate her for "an unacceptable breach of privacy" in relation to "false allegations," the statement said,

Zaetta, who is of Australian and Italian heritage, has been featured in a number of Bollywood productions in recent years, including a Charlie's Angels-style movie called, "Mr Black, Mr White," AFP reported."
