Eddie Murphy and ex-Spice Girl Melanie Brown have ended their bitter legal battle with the Hollywood actor being forced to pay out millions of pounds' of child support to their daughter Angel Iris.
Murphy has been ordered to pay £35,000 a month until the 22-month-old girl reaches 18 - a total of about £7million.
He has also finally agreed to see Angel Iris, who he originally questioned was his until the results of DNA testing proved he was the father.
Murphy, 47, and Mel B, 33, have spent 15 months battling in the Los Angeles law courts and have signed non-disclosure contracts, preventing them from discussing the settlement in public.
But a friend of the singer told the News of the World: 'Mel is delighted that the case is over as she just wanted what was right for the girl.
'It was never about the money - it was Mel's way of asking Eddie to show consideration for Angel.'
Father-of-six Murphy publicly dumped Mel on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard in December 2006 when he announced: 'I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test.'
