The latest fad in toddlerdom is the 3 day potty training method. Has anyone ever tried it? And why the big rush to potty train in 3 days?
Basically, 3 day potty training means letting your child run around without diapers over a long weekend until they realize that sitting on the potty is much more pleasant than letting it go on the carpet. After that, the kid should go bare-bottemed in the house for three months.
Some e-books have caught on that recommend this approach. One of them even has a potty training "insurance policy'' and a "help desk'' where you can log on and get advice about your particular waste management issue.
The whole thing sounds like an extension of the one-day potty training method popular in the 1980s, when daycares were more likely to only accept potty-trained children and parents panicked and tried to get the job done ASAP.
